♥ ever since a young age has found more solace in books than in the general world around her. she couldn't be blamed for living with her nose stuck in a book though, not when it took her away from the mundane day to day life and to a world where there was a happily ever after. at least in the books she could be somewhere else and someone else.
♥ cole isn't afraid to talk anyone's ears off about anything and everything. if there's something that she can talk about to a person there's more than a 50% chance that she will. it's both a pro and a con since more often than not she's talking people's ears off at work about how the book is almost always better than the screen adaptation if they're considering seeing a movie before reading a book.
♥ is more in love with comic books and super heroes than she let's on to most of the world, although if someone around her starts talking about them she doesn't hold back from joining in. she's more about marvel than dc where comics are concerned but doesn't hesitate to talk in depth about the cinematic universes and the pros and cons with both.
♥ was a big of a gaming nerd when she was in high school. if it wasn't a book that her nose was in, chances were she was plugged in to the computer playing this game or that game. mostly it was anything that blizzard had dropped and while she's known to spend a day here or there playing, she isn't as in to it as she once was. these days she actually enjoys spending time with her peers.
♥ her best friends have always been her father and her younger brother. when they were both old enough to make a decision, they'd both chosen to live with thier father. not that neither didn't love their mother she just wasn't always there for the two the way she should be, the way thier father was even with his busy schedule.
♥ although smarter than most of her peers, she would often downplay her intelligence in school learning quickly that no one likes a know it all and she didn't want to be set apart from her peers. instead she had the sort of personality that brougth people in closer to her and she wasn't afraid to help tutor when she could. she never tried to be the one that excelled in acedmics though, happy to get the lowest a's that she could. she still had hopes of a college degree after all.

biography.
when dominic had met evangeline it was nothing short of love at first sight for the older man, and it wasn't even her appearance that had him migrating towards the woman five years younger than him. he had wandered up behind the woman and heard her putting another person in their place for lack of decency after they had almost run her over with their bicycle. she was feisty and he couldn't help but ask her out. it was a story he would often tell his daughter with great fondness.
eva was just starting her first year at the university of california's irvine campus and dom was finishing his time there. it had taken a few dates scattered over a handful of months to get eva to commit to a relationship but it was worth the wait. she always managed to keep the man on his toes and it was well worth it. by the time eva was becoming a senior, dom had proposed and while neither planned on a wedding until after graduation, eva still said yes to dom and together they had begun what, unfortunately, wasn't going to be a long life together.
it was three years after the two had wed that dom was offered a position at st joseph's mercy in ann arbor that he couldn't pass up, not that eva would have ever asked him to. with bags packed the couple set off for a new start from california to michigan. it was a week after the two had settled in to their house that eva found out that she was pregnant with their first child. it would be two months later that they'd find that she was to a little girl and it wasn't until she came in to the world on new year's eve that the two decided to name her coletta evangeline. two years and four months later, they would welcome their second child, a son, named christopher patrick.
three years after that, eva asked for a divorce from dom. it wasn't that either had done anything to wrong the other, but that she'd simply fallen out of love with the man. what she'd felt for him had only ever been a fraction of the love and adoration that the man had not only for his wife, but for his children as well. dom had agreed to the divorce, although heartbroken and blindsided by it and agreed to still help take care of his ex wife who hadn't really worked since the births of their children and of course, his two beautiful kids. he'd left the house to her and had moved in to an apartment closer to the hospital. he was no ghost in his children's lives though and more often than not cole and her younger brother were over at their father's house whenever possible.
as they grew, cole began to display the traits of her mother's that had drawn dominic to her and he never failed to tell his duaghter the stories about how he and her mother had met. even at five she was a fiesty little thing and it wasn't until he'd agreed to relive the past through the stories that she'd settle down at night. it was part of the reason why he'd spent time with a local artist he knew and created a little book for his daughter with the stories that she could take every where with her. to this day, cole still has the book locked up somewhere safe and it's her most prized possession.
